Vishwaroopam 2 Movie Review: Kamal Haasan’s Film Fails to Leave Impact, Declare Critics

Vishwaroopam 2 featuring actor Kamal Haasan in the lead has released today. It goes without saying that it was one of the most anticipated films of the year. The movie is the sequel to Vishwaroopam which released in 2013 and now it is receiving mixed response by critics. This is known to all that Kamal is a fantastic actor. Despite trying hard, his film failed to impress critics. The box office verdict of the movie will be out in few hours before that have a look at what critics have to say:

Firstpost (1.5/5): The mediocrity of the movie extends to its story, research, and music as well. It is indeed sad that Kamal tried hard but he is the only one to be blamed for his misadventure as along with producing the movie, he has also directed it.

Koimoi (1.5/5): The movie has some well-planned action sequences but sadly tedious story-line overshadowed it. At the age of 63, Kamal has done wonderful action but he gets loaded under the tag of producer, director and writer. The movie is all glam but has no content.

The Indian Express (1.5/5): Kamal rescues the shockingly clumsy script only in few places. People expect good action sequences and colourful characters from spy thrillers. However, there was no such luck with Vishwaroopam 2.

Times of India (2.5/5): Vishwaroopam 2 has some good elements. The stunts and props look straight out of big-ticket Hollywood film. Just like any mainstream masala film, Kamal’s movie also has drama, romance and comedy but it feels too stretched.
